Paul Harris founded the Rotary International club in the early 20th century with the core goal of promoting service above self. The foundation offers a very special recognition to members and others who exemplify this goal. Our local Rotary club held their annual changeover dinner this past weekend. I was so very, very proud of my husband Tony who was honored with a fellowship in recognition of his community service, notably 34 years with the local fire service. As an auxilery station Tony is part of a team that provides a 24/7 365 days a year on call service in addition to holding down their own full time jobs!
